Mexico City hosts the inaugural Electronics Home Mexico today through June 19, 2025, at Centro Banamex. The three-day trade fair marks Grupo Eletrolar’s expansion into North America after 17 years of organizing successful electronics events across Brazil and Argentina.

The event spans 10,000 square meters of exhibition space, showcasing over 300 exhibitors and drawing major buyers from Mexico, Central America, and South America. Carlos Clur, CEO of Grupo Eletrolar, presents this launch as the third component of Latin America’s “business triathlon,” joining the established Eletrolar Show in Brazil and Electronics Home Argentina.

Strategic Market Position and Organizational Excellence

Mexico consolidates itself as the new regional center for the consumer electronics industry amid international uncertainty marked by tariff tensions and commercial disputes with the United States. The timing proves crucial as Mexico’s import market reaches approximately $467 billion annually, creating substantial opportunities for electronics manufacturers and distributors optimizing supply chains and ensuring timely product delivery across Latin America.

“Mexico is a challenge, but it’s something in our strategy that we need to do, because we want to integrate Latin America total market,” explains Carlos Clur. “We are in the three biggest markets. Mexico was the second, at least the second economy. So we needed to put the feet here.” The CEO acknowledges the complexity of entering Mexico’s concentrated retail landscape while emphasizing the strategic importance of creating a unified Latin American electronics ecosystem.

The fair features consumer electronics, large and small home appliances, telecommunications equipment, and technology products. Exhibitors display smartphones, tablets, laptops, smart TVs, audio devices, gaming consoles, washing machines, refrigerators, microwaves, vacuum cleaners, air conditioners, and IoT solutions. The event showcases more than 600 exhibitors and high-level executives , with over 1,000 international brands participating. The fair operates daily from 11:00 to 19:00 hours throughout the three-day period.

Grupo Eletrolar brings extensive experience from managing two major regional events. The Eletrolar Show in São Paulo occupies 50,000 square meters at Distrito Anhembi, attracting over 40,000 visitors and featuring more than 600 exhibitors showcasing 12,000 products from 1,500 brands. Electronics Home Argentina, running at Centro Costa Salguero from June 30 to July 2, 2025, serves as the country’s most important business fair for household goods and consumer electronics.

The organization implements proven programs including the VIP Buyer Program, which sponsors airfare and accommodation for qualified buyers from South and Central American countries attending all three fairs in the business triathlon. The Matchmaking Program facilitates pre-scheduled meetings between distributors and retailers, ensuring direct contact with potential buyers.

Walking Through the Ultimate Electronics Treasure Hunt

The exhibition floor delivers exactly what you’d expect from a hybrid of Amazon’s endless variety, Best Buy’s tech showcase energy, and TJ Maxx’s treasure-hunting excitement. Within minutes of entering, unexpected discoveries emerge around every corner.

At one booth, a cold bourbon dispenser catches attention not for its electronics, but for solving a problem whiskey enthusiasts know well. “If you add ice, that means you reduce the taste of the whiskey,” explains the exhibitor, demonstrating how their $250 USD unit maintains optimal temperature without dilution. The compressor-based system preserves the pure taste that ice traditionally compromises.

Here’s where trade fairs get interesting. Despite being neither a bourbon enthusiast nor someone who typically drinks whiskey at 11 AM on a Tuesday morning, the sample proved impossible to refuse. The cold bourbon hit differently than expected: smooth, clean, and surprisingly palatable even to someone who usually avoids brown liquor. The exhibitor’s point about ice dilution became clear immediately. This wasn’t the harsh bite associated with room-temperature whiskey, nor the watered-down taste from melted ice. The controlled temperature created an entirely different drinking experience.

For bars and restaurants, this represents the kind of specialized solution that makes B2B trade fairs valuable. The minimum order quantity (MOQ) conversation reveals the fair’s true nature. At 100-200 units minimum, this isn’t consumer retail. The unexpected morning bourbon tasting also highlights how these events blur professional boundaries: where else would trying whiskey at 11 AM count as market research?

A few aisles over, CJ Tech from Guangzhou displays 100-inch televisions that reveal the complex economics behind consumer electronics. The company operates as a pure ODM/OEM manufacturer, producing displays for European markets, Middle East, Africa, and select US clients. Their booth showcases the invisible supply chain powering familiar brands.

The pricing structure tells the real story. A standard 100-inch 4K TV costs $900 USD at factory level, while the Mini LED version jumps to $1,800 USD. The MOQ requires a minimum order, but their standard container capacity holds 46 units, meaning a single container of Mini LED displays represents an $82,800 investment at factory pricing. “American market certification cost is very high,” explains the representative, revealing why US electronics carry premium pricing. Certification alone costs 100,000 Chinese yuan (approximately $14,000 USD), making small orders economically unfeasible.

The mathematics become clearer when considering volume. While the factory price seems reasonable, certification costs must be distributed across units sold. For a single container of 46 Mini LED TVs, the $14,000 certification adds roughly $300 per unit. For smaller orders of one or two containers, this burden becomes prohibitive. The representative explains why “American customers want one container, two containers, but the certification cost is very high.”

This conversation illuminates why certain markets dominate global electronics. The certification barrier explains why CJ Tech focuses on European and African markets, where regulatory costs prove more manageable. The $1,800 factory price becomes significantly higher after logistics, certification, and regulatory compliance, explaining why a comparable 100-inch Hisense TV retails for $5,000 USD in American markets.

The company also produces speakers for Hisense and displays for Harman, demonstrating how major brands rely on specialized ODM partners. Their booth features products destined for Amazon’s private label program, revealing the interconnected nature of global electronics distribution. The Mini LED technology costs “between double and triple” the standard 4K version due to enhanced local dimming capabilities that improve color reproduction.

CEO Vision: Building Latin America’s Connected Electronics Ecosystem

Carlos Clur’s strategy extends beyond individual trade fairs to create an integrated regional marketplace. “We want to create these meetings with the C-level executives. They can create joint ventures, ideas to produce in Mexico, ideas to create alliances with the retail, with the suppliers, with the industry, with the components market,” he explains. “We want to have this industry more connected. This connection makes the economy stronger.”

The challenge lies in Mexico’s retail concentration. “The retail is very concentrated in some points, the industry also,” Clur acknowledges. “What we are doing for our challenge is bring the small retail, medium retail, and the big ones, but also the most strategic is bring the neighboring countries.” This international approach distinguishes Electronics Home Mexico from domestic trade shows.

Clur emphasizes the fair’s role in democratizing business opportunities. “Maybe this small retail in the future will be a big retail, and this is something that for us is important. Also bring professionals to the show, create strong relations for long term.” He describes how a single connection can transform businesses: “One company in a show can change the life, the economic life, because they said, ‘Okay, Walmart, make an order.'”

The CEO recognizes technology’s role in market education. “Journalists and influencers, they connect with the consumers, show the new technology, the new prototypes, the new trends, and they promote the industry,” he explains. In Brazil, Grupo Eletrolar works with influencers commanding 50 million followers, while Mexico features Shark Tank personalities discussing artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship.

Even Clur participates in the discovery process, purchasing a recording device from a Mexican company during the fair. “This is our work,” he concludes, emphasizing that successful B2B events require continuous investment in matchmaking programs, buyer initiatives, and marketing campaigns to “bring the right people to the right place.”

Understanding the Hidden Value Chain

These conversations provide invaluable insight into electronics pricing that consumers never see. Walking through Electronics Home Mexico offers education worth thousands of dollars in business consulting fees. The direct access to ODM manufacturers, MOQ discussions, and certification cost breakdowns reveal why electronics cost what they do in different markets.

The bourbon dispenser conversation alone demonstrates how specialized B2B products find their markets. Understanding that 100-unit minimums separate consumer purchases from commercial distribution explains why certain products remain invisible to regular shoppers. These aren’t products you find on Amazon or Best Buy shelves, yet they represent significant business opportunities for the right buyers.

The CJ Tech discussion provides even deeper value. Learning that a $5,000 consumer TV starts at $1,800 factory pricing, then understanding how certification costs, logistics, retailer margins, and brand premiums build the final price, offers insights typically reserved for industry insiders. The revelation that certification costs can add $300 per unit for small orders explains why electronics companies focus on high-volume markets.

This knowledge transforms how you view electronics retail. Every smartphone, television, or appliance carries similar hidden costs and supply chain complexities. The fair provides direct access to manufacturers who typically remain invisible behind brand names, offering education about global trade mechanics that business schools struggle to teach.

These discoveries encapsulate the fair’s treasure-hunt atmosphere. Buyers arrive expecting smartphones and appliances, but leave with deep understanding of supply chain economics, MOQ requirements, and certification barriers that reshape pricing strategies. Each conversation reveals the complex calculations behind consumer electronics pricing, from factory floor to retail shelf.

Current Impact and Business Integration

Electronics Home Mexico strengthens Latin America’s position in global electronics trade while addressing international trade tensions. The event targets Chinese companies seeking strategic partnerships in Mexico, capitalizing on shifting supply chain dynamics amid global uncertainty.

For exhibitors, participating in Electronics Home Mexico represents the opportunity to position themselves as innovation leaders in the sector. Direct contact with highly specialized audiences allows companies to understand market needs and adjust commercial strategies with valuable information about consumption trends and behaviors. The event positions itself as a platform designed for real retail, where inspiration, innovation, and action converge , rather than simply an exhibition space. This approach mirrors the successful format established at Eletrolar Show, facilitating in-person meetings between industry and retail partners to eliminate trade barriers and enhance networking opportunities.

Mexico City serves as an economic hub for the entire region, with the country recognized as a regional center with modern infrastructure enabling efficient logistics throughout the continent. The location proves strategic given Mexico’s increasing role in global supply chains and manufacturing, especially as companies seek alternatives amid international trade disputes.

The Mexico-Brazil Chamber provides institutional support, reflecting the event’s role in strengthening bilateral trade relationships. Media coverage includes partnerships with outlets like Infobea, Energía Hoy, and Canton Fair Net, ensuring broad industry awareness across Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets.

The opening day draws thousands of qualified visitors and hundreds of confirmed exhibitors across consumer electronics, home appliances, and related technology sectors. The event attracts decision-makers from retail chains, specialty stores, e-commerce platforms, and distribution networks throughout Mexico and neighboring regions. Attendees engage in business rounds, networking sessions, innovation forums, and conferences covering market opportunities in Mexico. These components mirror successful formats from the Brazilian and Argentine events, adapted for the Mexican market’s specific characteristics.

“This is the only show that Mexico has for consumer electronics,” Clur notes, emphasizing the event’s unique position in the market. “We believe that we will arrive with a very strong network in Latin America. This is our differential, but we think we have very long work for the next years.”

The inaugural Electronics Home Mexico establishes Grupo Eletrolar’s presence in North America’s largest Spanish-speaking market, completing their regional coverage across Latin America’s three major economic centers while addressing the current global trade environment’s challenges and opportunities. Early activity indicates strong interest from both exhibitors and buyers, with business meetings already underway across the exhibition floor. The event demonstrates Mexico’s growing importance as a strategic hub for electronics trade in the Americas.

]]>

One of my goals as I embark on a new life chapter is that I will lessen eating outside or getting take out and start making my own food. This means I also need to fix my kitchen as it’s a bit chaotic and incomplete right now. One of my favorite things to order in my nearby coffee shop are waffles and so probably one of the first things I need to learn is to make my own. So a waffle maker is on top of my priorities to purchase for my kitchen. The only decision right now would be what kind, what design, and what additional features I would like in one.

If this waffle maker concept was a real one, this would definitely be part of my list, at least design-wise. The Hapffe Waffle Maker is a concept or visualization design for a kitchen appliance that brings together modern minimalism and natural elements. It actually looks like a retro radio transistor but instead of bringing you music, it brings you breakfast staples with thoughtful design and versatile funcitonality.

Designer: Maxim Zhuravlev

The waffle maker’s warm beige body is elegantly contrasted with smooth wooden handles, lending a sense of warmth and approachability. The rounded edges and simple, intuitive dial reinforce a friendly and accessible design, making the appliance fit seamlessly into both contemporary and classic kitchens. There isn’t much information about its proposed features and materials but we can make some assumptions based on its visualization. This isn’t just a pretty or aesthetic waffle maker but one that is designed for real-world ease. The rotary dial on the front panel allows for precise control over cooking time, ensuring every waffle, sandwich, or snack is cooked to perfection.

The sturdy wooden handle provides a comfortable and safe grip, making it easy to open, close, and move the appliance, even when hot. Another key feature is its modular, multi-functional cooking plates. As depicted in the collection of images, the waffle maker offers an array of interchangeable plates: from classic waffles and sandwiches to grill marks, filled ovals, and even cake fingers. This adaptability means the Hapffe can handle breakfast, lunch, and snack time—making it a true all-in-one appliance for creative cooks and busy families alike.

As I take these first steps toward a more intentional and homemade lifestyle, investing in the right tools for my kitchen feels both exciting and empowering. The Hapffe Waffle Maker, with its inviting design and practical features, perfectly captures the kind of thoughtful innovation I’d love to bring into my daily routine. Whether or not this concept ever makes it to stores, it’s a great reminder of how good design can inspire us to create new habits and enjoy the process of making food at home.

Everything You Can Make With A Laser Engraving Machine: Hands-On with the xTool F1 Ultra

]]>

Not everyone has the budget for high-end gear. I know I’d love to own a 3D printer, but I genuinely don’t think it’s the kind of device you buy first and adapt to later. Laser engravers too – I’d probably love to have one, but it’s a want rather than a need. The missing piece of the puzzle, however, is potential. Any good marketer will tell you that potential is what drives consumer adoption – yes I sound salesy, but I’m getting to the point in a bit. I never knew I needed a laser engraver – until I saw exactly the kind of stuff I could do with it.

Two weeks back, I was in Macao for the BEYOND Expo – an exhibition targeted at highlighting tech innovation east of the Pacific. With literally hundreds of exhibitors, it was the perfect ground to meet companies, see products, and understand their potential. It’s also where I saw the xTool F1 Ultra, and it wasn’t the machine that excited me as much as it was the stuff around it. Strategically placed all around this dual-laser engraver were an entire bunch of products made BY the F1 Ultra. From cutting to etching, this machine could work on plastic, metal, wood, fabric, leather, heck, even leaves (I got a cinnamon leaf with my face etched onto it)… and that’s when it hit me. A laser engraving machine has TONNES of potential – not just for craftspeople and tiny studios. But for hobbyists, designers, and anyone who loves spending time in a workshop.

This article isn’t about the F1 Ultra, but rather about all that it can do. Just for posterity, the xTool F1 Ultra is the world’s first dual-laser engraver that combines a 20W fiber laser and a 20W diode laser. The fiber laser (1064nm, if you’re into the nerdy details) is your go-to for metals, capable of slicing through thin brass, stainless steel, and aluminum with surprising ease (we’re talking 0.4mm, 0.3mm, and 0.2mm, respectively ). The blue diode laser (445nm) handles the softer stuff – wood up to 15mm and acrylic up to 12mm. The F1 Ultra’s impressive 10,000 mm/s speed, combined with features like the smart camera and autofocus, means you’re spending less time tweaking settings and more time bringing your ideas to life. Sure, at $3,999 it’s not exactly impulse-buy territory, but that price tag feels more and more justified once you look at what this beast can do.

Everything you see here was created by either the F1 Ultra, or its larger sibling, the S1, which uses the same laser cutting/engraving technology, but offers a larger, rolling bed so you could potentially feed endless rolls of material in and have the thing continuously etch/cut a design. Both machines, however, work with the same broad spectrum of products, and if you’re looking for the most obvious application, it’s definitely leather.

The three pictures here (starting with the Burberry-branded wallet) are all examples of what laser etching on leather can look like. It’s important to note the versatility of these different products, because you’ve got A. Tanned leather on top, B. Suede in the middle, and C. Dyed leather below. All three can handle the controlled blasts of a laser remarkably well. Suede doesn’t develop as much of a darker color as tanned leather or dyed leather, but that’s probably because of the tanning dye or inks burning too. Either which way, the laser machine works well with all kinds of surfaces, even curved ones like the shoe below, allowing you to customize your belongings/products with a variety of prints and styles.

The laser engraving works on fabrics too, creating a washed/bleached look rather than a burnt look. This is probably because the laser has an effect on the dye as well as on the cloth itself, revealing the lighter fibers of the fabric underneath. This saves you the effort of taking sandpaper to your denims or meticulously painting them with bleach. Laser offers incredibly precise detail, letting you create intricate prints that just look fantastic on thick fabrics like denim. You can work with other fabrics too (preferably thicker ones), and yes, you can crank up the power to cut fabrics too, using it as an alternative to a scalpel. Fabrics, paper, leather, plastic, even thin sheets of metal.

Remarkably so, the machine can work on stone too, especially less dense stone materials like slate. Here we can see the effects of surface-level as well as deeper engraving jobs. Above, a menu is etched onto a slab of slate, creating a design that looks hand-made but is entirely machined. It’s rustic, gorgeous, and can’t be wiped the way chalk can. However, if you want to work with depth, the laser can cut into material too, rather than just marking the surface.

Above and below are both examples of lasers’ effect on slate and wood, respectively. The output of your engraver plays a crucial role in determining the power of the machine. A higher laser output (maybe 40W or 20W) can literally perform a controlled erosion of material, carving it instead of simply etching it. The slate one is impressive, but the wooden cat below truly blew my mind, with a kind of relief that you’d expect from a CNC machine, not a laser one.

But laser machines can cut too, as I explained earlier – and the best example of it is above and below. While laser machines are mostly preferred by people who work with 2D designs, they’re great for 3D too. The image above is of a doll made entirely through laser cutting. You cut the various parts out, assemble them together, and you literally have a 3-dimensional toy.

Want to look beyond mere cut-and-assembly-style designs? You can literally make wood sheets bend too, simply by cutting a controlled dash pattern on them like the one shown here. This turns wood from a stiff plank to something you can wrap around 2D curved parts. This ability is what allows this cardholder to have its semi-cylindrical spine.

Similarly, you could just use the laser engraver to cut sheets of plastic. Here, you’ve got a merry-go-round made from a prism-film acrylic sheet. The joineries come out perfect, the details are immaculate, and the laser machine allows you to create incredibly slim, intricate parts that don’t break off while you’re making them – something that’s sure to happen if you took the same thing to a jigsaw machine or a glass-cutter.

But here’s the most remarkable part of the laser machines and the F1 Ultra specifically. It works on metal (as you probably saw with the first image featuring a bedazzled iPad), but what it can also do apart from mere engraving, is create colors too. I was absolutely floored when I first saw this rendition of Starry Night on a sheet of presumably steel. While you’d think etching metal simply turns it black, you can also modulate the intensity of your laser to create different colors. If you’ve ever seen a car tailpipe with that weird rainbow finish caused by the heat of the exhaust, that’s exactly what the laser machine does too.

Controlled exposure to certain temperatures can cause the metal to change colors. Do it using a hyper-accurate laser and you can ‘print’ on metal simply by applying heat. I asked xTool’s people time and time again if this was some form of printing, just because of how impressive this turned out to be. Every color you see there is the result of a laser beam applying heat, causing the metal to turn either black, blue, cyan, rust, or even yellow.

Of course, I had to try out the machine for myself – luckily, the folks at xTool were happy to oblige. All I did was upload a photo of myself to the F1 Ultra (using a very easy QR Code-based system) and have it oriented on the object in question. xTool had an entire batch of cinnamon leaves handy, just for this exercise… in fact, Yao Ming (the Chinese basketball phenom) was on the floor that day, and he was presented with a laser-engraved leaf with his face too.

Anyway, the entire process took all of 10 minutes from start to finish, leaving me (leafing?) with an immaculately engraved portrait of myself on a leaf. Would I consider splurging $3-4k on a laser machine? The truth is, probably not – I’m very bad with money so I’ve had to work hard to exercise self-restraint – but here’s where something changed. I now know what versatility a laser machine like the F1 Ultra is capable of, and if I were to think about investing in one, I’d be much more informed in my decision, rather than going for an impulse purchase. I’m assuming I’ve done the same for you too…

I still haven’t found the right robot vacuum companion to help me keep my apartment clean. I’ve been eyeing some of the more advanced models that boast impressive features like smart mapping, powerful suction, and self-emptying bins—but they come with a hefty price tag. For now, I’m making do with more affordable options, which get the basic job done but are often limited in functionality. They tend to miss spots, especially along edges, under furniture, or in tighter corners where the sensors struggle. I’m still holding out hope that I’ll eventually find a model that strikes the perfect balance between performance, convenience, and cost.

XGIMI MoGo 4 Series: Price, Features, and Why They’re Changing Portable Projection Scene

If you think all projectors are clunky black boxes destined to gather dust in a forgotten corner of your room, XGIMI wants to change your mind. Over the past few years, this brand has steadily broken the mold, turning projectors into design-forward tech that fits modern lifestyles. The third iteration of its portable projector, the MoGo 3 Pro, was already one of the most elegant options on the market. With the newly launched MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser, XGIMI has turned up both the style and the features to an entirely new level.

Designer: XGIMI

From Boxy Eyesore to Modern Must-Have

Let’s take a quick step back. When the MoGo 3 Pro arrived in late 2024, it marked a major design departure from its predecessor. The bulky shapes and bland colors were replaced by a champagne-hued cylindrical form factor. This new look was eye-catching yet subtle enough to blend into any modern living room or backyard setup.

Now, with the MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser, XGIMI has refined its formula even further. Both new models keep the compact, cylindrical design that made the previous model such a standout. Each is about the size of your largest coffee thermos, making it easy to slip into your tote or backpack and take anywhere.

A Closer Look at Form and Function

At first glance, the MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser look a lot like the MoGo 3 Pro, but the improvements become clear when you look closer. The new models are not just a restyle; they are a rethink of the structure. Where the MoGo 3 Pro separated the speaker base and the tiltable projector top, the MoGo 4 series moves to a seamless unibody design. This makes the device look sleeker and feel sturdier, with a more integrated build.

Turning on the projector could not be easier. Just pull up the top and tilt it to your preferred angle. The new built-in stand is a major leap forward, allowing for full 360-degree rotation. The MoGo 3 Pro only tilted up to 130 degrees, but the MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser can point straight up, which lets you project movies onto your ceiling for a completely hands-free experience. Lying flat and watching your favorite show projected overhead is now possible.

Power and Portability for Real Life

These projectors are built for life on the move. Each measures 207.6 by 96.5 by 96.5 millimeters and weighs about 2.9 pounds (1.3 kilograms), making them compact enough to toss in a bag and take anywhere. The built-in battery provides up to 2.5 hours of video or six hours of music playback in Eco mode.

If you need more playtime, XGIMI offers the PowerBase Stand accessory, sold separately for $129. This clever stand doubles as a 20,000mAh power bank and can extend playtime to around five hours. Attaching the PowerBase Stand has become smoother and more intuitive, although it is not backward compatible with the MoGo 3 Pro.

For those seeking true portability, both models can also be powered by any USB-C power bank that provides 65W or more. Whether you are camping, tailgating, or simply want to turn your living room into a blanket fort, these projectors keep up with your adventures.

Controls and Connectivity That Make Sense

XGIMI has also made the user experience more convenient. Both projectors include a mini infrared remote that requires no pairing. The remote can be kept attached to the projector’s lanyard for added convenience. There is also a fully featured Bluetooth remote, now with backlit frequently used buttons. This addition makes it much easier to navigate in the dark.

Connectivity gets a significant upgrade as well. Both MoGo 4 models feature a standard HDMI port with ARC support, which is a welcome improvement over the MoGo 3 Pro’s mini HDMI port. You also get a USB-A port, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, Google Cast, and DLNA. Whether you are streaming from your phone, plugging in a game console, or casting from Netflix (which the built-in Google TV now supports), the bases are covered.

Sound and Picture: A Real Step Up

The audio story is all positive. Both MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser include upgraded dual 6W Harman Kardon speakers with Dolby Audio support, offering a richer and more immersive sound compared to the previous generation.

Turning to visuals, the MoGo 4 uses an LED light source that delivers 450 ISO lumens and a sharp 1080p Full HD picture up to 120 inches. This brightness is more than enough for dimly lit indoor use or shaded outdoor movie nights.

The MoGo 4 Laser takes things further with a triple-laser light source. This model offers 550 ISO lumens, a 110% BT.2020 color gamut, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. The result is deeper blacks, more vibrant colors, and a picture that holds up even if there is some ambient light in the room.

Vibes, Filters, and Fun

XGIMI is not just about technical specs; it is about creating an experience. Both models introduce magnetic creative filters that snap onto the lens to shift the entire mood of your space. The MoGo 4 comes with a warm, golden Sunset filter, while the MoGo 4 Laser includes all four filters: Sunset, Lunar, Ripple, and Dreamscape. These let you bathe your room in everything from mellow moonlight to lively, dynamic effects. You can even wave your hand in front of the lens or tap the remote to switch the vibe of the projected images.

Ambient Light Mode transforms the projector into a creative Bluetooth speaker, pulsing in sync with your music for instant party vibes. This clever touch makes these projectors feel like more than just single-purpose gadgets. They become lifestyle companions that can set the tone for any occasion.

The Bottom Line

At launch, the MoGo 4 is priced at $499, while the MoGo 4 Laser comes in at $799. The PowerBase Stand is available for $129, and for those looking to complete the outdoor movie-night setup, Xgimi also offers a lightweight 70-inch portable outdoor screen for $99.

Considering the MoGo 3 Pro’s price at $449, the MoGo 4 is a direct successor, with the MoGo 4 Laser acting as the premium model. Whether you choose the MoGo 4 or step up to the MoGo 4 Laser, you are getting a portable projector that looks as good as it performs, offering much more than just a way to watch movies. These projectors are ready to go wherever you are and make your space look cooler in the process.

For Gen Z, homeownership or even just living alone brings a new set of responsibilities, and, often, a lot of confusion. How do you manage a home without letting it manage you? How do you keep it clean without feeling like you’re constantly at war with dust bunnies and mildew? SCOP helps you with that! A sleek, intelligent, and modular cleaning system designed specifically for the needs, habits, and lifestyles of today’s youth. SCOP is more than a robot vacuum; it’s a quiet, ambient home assistant that handles the unseen, unnoticed tasks you didn’t even know were weighing you down.

Gone are the days when cleaning simply meant sweeping and mopping. Gen Z knows better. Home maintenance today is about convenience, wellness, and vibes. But even with the occasional chore, it’s easy to overlook what’s not right in front of you, like the dampness creeping into corners, the musty smell that slowly blends into the air, or the dust silently collecting behind the couch.

These are the invisible chores, and SCOP is here to make them visible and manageable.

SCOP consists of three core components:

SCOP-Hub:

A robotic vacuum that doesn’t just clean floors, it acts as the brain of the operation, moving around your space, collecting data, and sensing invisible environmental changes. Think of it as your home’s subtle yet all-seeing eye.

SCOP-Humi:

A moisture-fighting module using silica gel to prevent mold in areas prone to dampness. It’s perfect for dealing with rainy days, laundry forgetfulness, or muggy bathrooms.

SCOP-Odor:

This plasma ionizer tackles unpleasant smells at the molecular level. Whether it’s lingering food smells, pet odors, or that “I’ve lived here too long” funk, Odor handles it.

Together, they work in harmony, scanning, detecting, acting, and predicting. Once SCOP identifies an issue, it recommends or even automatically deploys the appropriate module. Your only job? Toss, hang, or place Humi and Odor where the SCOP-Hub suggests.

SCOP’s design language is minimalist, modern, and quietly confident. The entire set blends seamlessly into your living space, feeling more like curated home decor than cleaning equipment. It’s not another plastic gadget cluttering your floor; it’s an integrated part of your interior.

One of SCOP’s most innovative features is its intelligence in when and what to clean. It learns your patterns, when you leave the house, where you tend to leave wet clothes, what corners gather dust, and builds a smart routine. It logs this in the SCOP Log, a sort of memory bank that helps it predict and suggest tasks before problems even occur.

Say you’ve got pets, SCOP automatically triggers dust control. If you’re out on a rainy day and leave damp laundry behind, it deploys the Humi module without waiting for you to notice the smell of mildew. That’s the power of predictive, invisible task management.

SCOP recognizes that your schedule is packed. It doesn’t ask for your time, it just does what needs to be done and lets you know afterward. No deep dives into cleaning routines, no complicated settings. You don’t have to be a home expert. SCOP already is.

It’s a solution made for small homes with big personalities. For shared apartments where no one wants to take out the trash. For city-dwellers who crave order but don’t want to obsess over it.

In a world where tech is everywhere, SCOP stands out by being exactly where you need it, without demanding your attention. It shifts the mindset from doing chores to living in a place that just takes care of itself. By mapping your home’s unique personality and addressing even its most hidden needs, SCOP allows you to finally exhale and focus on what truly matters: living.

When summer rolls around or the weather just won’t chill out, staying cool outdoors can feel like an impossible dream. Whether you’re at a backyard cookout, a sandy beach, or deep in the woods for a weekend campout, beating the heat is always on the to-do list. Enter the Windchill 47 Cooler: a game-changing gadget that brings ice-cold refreshment and real air conditioning to any adventure.

Forget everything you think you know about coolers. Engineered by the folks behind the world’s most popular smokeless fire pit, the Solo Windchill 47 is a whole new breed of outdoor gear. More than just a place to stash your drinks, it’s a high-tech cooling station with built-in A/C and misting. Imagine chilling with friends and having a blast, with a cold breeze on demand and your favorite beverages icy for days.

Designer: Solo Stove

The Windchill 47 stands out as the world’s first cooler with three different ways to keep things frosty. It starts with traditional ice storage, but that’s just the beginning. Flip a switch and the cooler pulls in hot air, sending it through a high-efficiency heat exchanger and powerful fan, and then pumps out a dry, refreshing chill you can actually feel. There’s even a misting feature to keep things extra comfortable when the sun is relentless.

This cooler isn’t just about keeping your cans cold, though with space for up to 65, there’s plenty of room for the whole crew. It runs on a rechargeable battery that powers the Max A/C feature for more than three hours per charge. On top of the air conditioning, the Windchill 47 delivers serious ice retention, holding chill for days so your food and drinks stay fresh throughout your trip.

Windchill is packed with features that make outdoor adventures easier and more enjoyable. Built into the lid are the heat exchanger, high-powered fan, and misting pump, all the tech you need to keep cool, cleverly hidden away. The vent hose is stored underneath the lid and can be rotated to aim the breeze exactly where you want it, making it perfect for tailgates, patios, and campgrounds alike.

No more worrying about dead batteries, either. With integrated USB-A and USB-C ports, you can charge up your phone, speakers, or camera right from the cooler. Rugged all-terrain wheels and a telescoping handle mean the Windchill 47 goes wherever you do, from rocky campsites to sandy beaches, and the built-in bottle opener is always there when you need it.

If you’re ready to upgrade your next outdoor gathering, the Windchill 47 Cooler proves that you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for adventure. With this powerhouse in tow, you’ll have icy drinks, a refreshing breeze, and all the power you need to keep the fun going, no matter how hot it gets.

Dyson shows off the slimmest but still powerful vacuum cleaner

When you live in a small apartment or if you want to keep things minimalist, you want to have appliances that can save you on space and clutter. But a lot of times, the ones that work the best are those that take up a lot of space and have huge storage. Or so we thought. There are now companies that have made it their mission to create the thinnest or slimmest things. Dyson is one of those.

Dyson has unveiled its latest innovation in home cleaning technology: the PencilVac, touted as the world’s slimmest and most powerful cordless vacuum cleaner. With a diameter of just 38mm, comparable to Dyson’s Supersonic hair dryer, and weighing approximately 1.8 kilograms, the PencilVac combines minimalist design with advanced functionality, making it an ideal solution for compact living spaces and hard-to-reach areas.

Designer: Dyson

The PencilVac’s slender form factor houses Dyson’s newly developed Hyperdymium motor, the smallest and fastest the company has produced to date. Spinning at 140,000 RPM, this motor delivers 55 air watts (AW) of suction power, ensuring efficient cleaning despite the vacuum’s compact size. The device’s design allows it to lay nearly flat, with an operational height of less than 10cm, enabling it to clean under furniture and in tight spaces with ease.

Departing from Dyson’s traditional cyclone technology, the PencilVac employs a two-stage linear dust-separation system that captures 99.99% of microscopic particles, releasing cleaner air back into the environment. Its unique Fluffycones cleaning head features four conical brush bars that rotate in opposite directions, effectively detangling long hair and ejecting it as small hairballs to prevent clogging. Additionally, green LED lights on either side of the brush head illuminate dust particles, ensuring thorough cleaning.

The PencilVac is equipped with an LCD screen that displays battery life and power mode, providing users with real-time information during cleaning sessions. It offers up to 30 minutes of runtime in Eco mode and features a hot-swappable battery system for extended use.The vacuum also connects to the MyDyson app, allowing users to access settings, maintenance alerts, and usage statistics.

Currently available in Japan, the PencilVac is expected to launch in the UK in 2026, with pricing details yet to be announced. Its combination of sleek design, powerful performance, and innovative features positions it as a compelling option for urban dwellers and those seeking a high-tech, space-saving cleaning solution. The Dyson PencilVac proves that powerful performance doesn’t have to come in a bulky package. It redefines what a vacuum cleaner can be: thin, light, and smart enough to keep up with modern lifestyles.

Whether you’re tidying up a studio apartment or navigating the tight corners of a minimalist home, the PencilVac offers a sleek and intelligent cleaning companion that doesn’t compromise on efficiency. With Dyson continuing to push the envelope on innovation and form, the PencilVac might just be the future of compact home cleaning.
